Man, Material, Machinery

Illustrating the need for course certification, Mr. Kuriacko Francis, Head of Department (Marine) at IEC says, "Man, Material and Machinery are the three integral parts of any industry and the perfect blend of all three parts constitutes the success of an organisation. However among these three aspects, man dominates the entire structure and controls the material and machinery elements. Hence knowledge on technical know -how and proper training is a vital requirement."

He goes on to say that, "With more than 7000 km of coastline and more than 3000 shipping companies in India, the manpower serving this industry is inestimable. IEC earnestly moulds best human power to cope with the demand in the future. "

DNV is a global leader in the maritime industry and they have played an important role to improve our standard of education and training and bring it to the International level, Kuriacko concludes.
